Over thousands of consultations, I find having an open conversation works best for all parties. My methodology combines a short initial call + a digital or in-person or digital meeting. I do not do this process over email.
My Top 3 Pieces of Advice
Throughout my time leading Tenzing, the top 3 pieces of advice I can give to anyone about insurance are:
- Get insured before you need it. We see people coming to us on a regular basis who reach out as a last ditch attempt because their world has been turned upside down due to cancer diagnosis, heart disease, major surgery, injury or ongoing chronic condition. You need a plan in place before life happens, not during or after.
- Think of insurance as a risk mitigation tool to protect everything you’ve worked your life for. The cost of a health insurance policy will not bankrupt you, but not having a policy could.
- Insurance is like anything, you generally get what you pay for.
So abandon your personal feelings about insurance, it’s your duty to yourself, family and anyone that cares about you.
