What Pacific Cross Vietnam doesn't do
The main thing that Pacific Cross Vietnam doesn’t offer is full coverage for young children, direct billing for accidents and there is no coverage for motorbike accidents without a valid Vietnamese license. Additionally, they are very strict with claims, especially in the first year of the policy. There is a 1-year waiting period for all “special diseases”. In addition, there is no contact sports coverage, ability to mix & match between different family members or any options for Savings Plans or Life Insurance.

To be eligible for April Insurance Vietnam, you must reside in Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia. They accept local citizens and expats alike. April accepts new clients up to age 65. Their policies offer lifetime renewability.
April Insurance Vietnam has 3 coverages areas to choose from:
- Europe + ASEAN excluding Singapore
- Worldwide excluding USA
- Worldwide
With all options, you have 30 days coverage if you’re travelling outside of your coverage area, which covers you up to $100,000 for trips up to 30 days/trip for emergency hospitalization.
April Insurance Vietnam has four benefit categories; Inpatient, Outpatient, Dental and Maternity. They are unique in the sense they offer modular benefits across thier 3 plan levels:
- Essential
- Extensive
- Elite
This means that you can choose the level of coverage you want for each category. For exmaple, you could take: Essential Inpatient, Elite Outpatient & Extensive Dental.
You can also mix & match benefits between members of one policy to choose benefits that are unique to each person. I
